A Welcome from our President

Columbia Academy is truly an exciting place to be. The reason I use the word “exciting” is because I can think of no better way to describe the things that happen on our campuses on a daily basis. When students are being challenged to learn and grow in ways that prepare them for their next stage of life, that’s exciting! When young people gain confidence through opportunity, responsibility and challenges, it is exciting. Finally, there is nothing more important or exciting than when young hearts are encouraged to develop the high moral character that goes hand in hand with following Jesus Christ.

If you choose to visit Columbia Academy, you may notice an atmosphere that feels like “family.” This is one of the most common observations we hear from visitors and new students. When you have a group of people who are welcoming, loving, and share many similar goals, it feels a lot like a family. When you add to that a safe, nurturing and supportive environment, you offer students the blessing of a comprehensive educational experience that is second to none.

Since 1979, Columbia Academy has existed to prepare young people for this life and the life to come. Our motto continues to be “Christian Education in a Tradition of Excellence,” and you will find that our faculty and staff are committed to this mission. High standardized test scores, large scholarship awards and the achievements of our graduates are evidence of the rigorous preparation that our students receive. Our ultimate goal is to train the whole student – body, mind and soul – so that they will be prepared to live lives of true significance and meaning. Whether you have been a part of CA since 1979 or if you have never visited, please know that you are always welcome, and I hope to see you on campus sometime soon!
